Great Dane Puppies-brother and sister

danepups

These puppies were rescued by Broken Hearts on July 16, 2008. They were diagnosed with Megaesophegus, which is a life long genetic condition which inhibits their ability to eat. They were both very small and underweight and they were going to be euthanized if they were not rescued. After they were brought to Broken Hearts their eating was monitored closely to help them gain weight. They were adopted by a family where they would be closely monitored for life and they have found their forever family!

Shady-Female PitBull-neglected, starved, multiple hit by car victim

shady

This is Shady before at 18 lbs

Shady was brought in by a concerned citizen who witnessed Shady being run over by a car. Upon arrival she was x-rayed and given pain medication to dull her suffering. She was 20lbs underweight at 9 months, weighing only 18lbs. She had a broken right hind leg, broken tail, and her most serious injury was a broken spine. She was placed in intensive care on “cage-rest” to heal. Though surgery was not an option for her she has healed with remarkable speed. Within weeks she has gained weight and began walking on her own, within a month she weighed almost 30lbs and was able to get around on her own. Today Shady is a healthy 40lbs and has regained full mobility (though her tail is a little funky)! She has found her forever home a Broken Hearts where she has put her mark on all our hearts.

This is Shady today at over 40lbs and beautiful!

When the neighbor complained of the smell the property management called Jessi, who immediatly came to Jack’s aid. Innus - 6 month old male Pomeranian - abandoned when his owner was deployed to Iraq

Innus1This is Innus, a 5 lb male pomeranian puppy. He was the best friend and companion of a US Airforce Pilot. When his owner was depoyed to Iraq, Innus was taken to his”aunt” who neglected him and eventually grew tired of caring for him and brought him to Broken Hearts. After several months with us, it was decided that Innus needed to find a forever family and we began trying to find him a new home.
